1. Who Is IBRHA?
We are an independent 501 (c)(6) non-profit Destination Marketing and Trade and Organization. Our Association promotes and advocates for Black-owned hospitality, leisure, retail, and travel-related businesses and bring together those businesses with leaders, influencers, partners, and the public to drive positive economic impact.
2. What are the membership categories?
Restaurants
Restaurant members represent table-service, fast-casual, on-site food service, food trucks, pop-up brands, etc. For franchises, contact us for a custom membership rate.
Accommodations
Lodging members represent full-service hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, multi-unit vacation rentals, inns, hostels, botel hotels, etc. For franchises, contact us for a custom membership rate.
Attractions & Entertainment
Retail, attractions, museums, spa services, sports, and recreation, travel, tour, and transportation services all represent the attractions and entertainment membership sector.
Allied Partners
Insiders and influencers represent planners, consultants, venues, distributors, and suppliers of goods and services to the industry. For franchises, contact us for a custom membership rate. Other allied partners include full-time educators and accredited programs in the hospitality or retail fields, full-time students, non-profit organizations focused on business and economic development, or government entities.
3. Why should I become a member? Will IBRHA promote my business, event, or news for me?
IBRHA can help amplify, advocate, and promote your business. We do this through our print and digital platforms, social media, direct and experiential marketing. We also provide continuing education, consulting, and other resources. To view our IBRHA Membership Benefits, click here.
4. How can I join?

5. Can you bill me, or can I pay monthly installments?
We do not bill our members. Membership dues are paid in full when joining. Once you become a member, you will receive an annual invoice in the mail or by email with options for renewing your membership.
6. As a new member, who do I contact if I have questions?
Each member has an account manager available to answer your questions, educate you on IBRHA services, and help us maintain a successful partnership. To find out who your account manager is, please contact our Administrative team here.
7. What is the IBRHA Membership Extranet, and how do I use it?

8. How is my membership activated?
As soon as we receive and confirm your application and payment, your membership is active and valid for one year. You will receive an email welcoming you to the organization, and your membership will automatically renew on your anniversary date (unless you choose to cancel.)
9. Once my membership is activated, what is the next step?
You will receive an IBRHA welcome gift, membership collateral, upcoming event, and e-newsletters.
10. How will I be notified about member events?
IBRHA posts events on the Events section of our website (ibrha.org,) and you will receive an email invitation to each event as they approach.
11. When does my membership expire?
Your membership is for one full year from the date you join. Unless we receive notification in writing, your membership is automatically renewed by IBRHA on the annual billing date.
12. I’ve lost or need to change my membership information. Where can I get help?

13. How do I get training or consulting for myself or my team?
